This Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as the “Policy”) informs visitors of the website www.makertabor.cz (hereinafter referred to as the “Website”) about how we process personal data in connection with the operation of the Website.

The Controller operates the Website as a technical operator and order broker for the organizers of day camps under the “Maker Tábor” brand.
2. What Data We Process and Why
2.1. Newsletter (Subscription)
If you subscribe to the newsletter via the form on the Website, we process:
- Data: E-mail address
- Purpose: Sending commercial communications about day camps, Maker Faire events, workshops, and other activities of the entities within the Group (see Section 4).
- Legal basis: Your consent pursuant to Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 7(2) of Act No. 480/2004 Coll., on Certain Information Society Services.
- Retention period: For the duration of the consent, maximum 5 years from subscription. After this period, the e-mail will be deleted unless the consent is renewed.
- Withdrawal of consent: At any time, by clicking the unsubscribe link in every e-mail or by sending an e-mail to tabory@makemore.cz.
2.2. Cookies – Necessary (Functional)
When you visit the Website, we store necessary cookies that ensure the basic functioning of the Website:
- Data: Technical identifiers in cookies (cc_cookie – storing cookie preferences).
- Purpose: Ensuring the functionality of the Website, storing your cookie preferences.
- Legal basis: Legitimate interest of the Controller pursuant to Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (ensuring Website functionality).
- Retention period: Depending on the type of cookie, usually until the browser is closed or max. 1 year.
2.3. Cookies – Analytical
With your consent, we use analytical cookies to measure traffic and analyze visitor behavior:
- Data: IP address (anonymized), browser type, operating system, traffic source, time spent on the site, pages visited.
- Tools: Google Analytics (cookies: _ga, _ga*, _gid), Plausible Analytics.

With every visit to the Website, we automatically record:

- Purpose: Ensuring the security and stability of the Website, protection against attacks.
- Legal basis: Legitimate interest of the Controller pursuant to Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
- Retention period: Max. 30 days, after which logs are automatically deleted.
3. Personal Data Processing When Ordering a Camp
The Website serves as an information hub. Ordering and purchasing a camp takes place through the SimpleShop.cz ordering system (operated by Redbit s.r.o.), to which the visitor is redirected from the Website.
Day camps under the “Maker Tábor” brand are always organized by specific associations:

The processing of personal data in connection with a camp order is governed by the General Terms and Conditions (GTC) of the respective organizer (association), which contain comprehensive information on the processing of personal data pursuant to Article 13 GDPR. The customer familiarizes themselves with and agrees to the GTC when filling out the order form on SimpleShop.cz.The GTC of the individual organizers can be viewed on the Terms and Conditions page.
4. Group of Entities
The Controller manages the Website and a joint marketing database for the following entities (hereinafter referred to as the “Group”):

If you grant consent to receive the newsletter, all entities within the Group may send you commercial communications to the extent specified by your consent.
5. Recipients of Personal Data
The Controller may transfer your personal data to the following recipients:
- Ecomail.cz, s.r.o. – provider of the e-mail marketing tool, processor of the newsletter database (data processed within the EU).
- Google Ireland Limited – provider of Google Analytics and Google Ads services.
- Meta Platforms Ireland Limited – provider of the Facebook Pixel service.
- Entities within the Group listed in Section 4 (for sending commercial communications based on your consent).
- Web hosting provider – technical provision of Website operation.
6. Transfer of Data to Third Countries
In connection with the use of Google (Analytics, Ads) and Meta (Facebook Pixel) services, personal data may be transferred to the United States of America.
Google LLC and Meta Platforms, Inc. are certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, which ensures an adequate level of personal data protection according to the European Commission’s decision. Data transfers are also carried out on the basis of Standard Contractual Clauses pursuant to Article 46(2)(c) GDPR.
Data is transferred to third countries exclusively based on your consent to analytical and/or marketing cookies.
7. Your Rights
In connection with the processing of personal data, you have the following rights:
a) Right of access (Art. 15 GDPR) – the right to obtain confirmation from the Controller as to whether your personal data is being processed, and if so, to access such data;
b) Right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR) – the right to request the correction of inaccurate data;
c) Right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR) – the right to request the erasure of personal data if the conditions set by the GDPR are met;
d) Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR) – the right to request a temporary restriction of processing;
e) Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR) – the right to receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format;
f) Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR) – the right to object to processing based on the Controller’s legitimate interest;
g) Right to withdraw consent – if processing is based on consent (newsletter, analytical and marketing cookies), you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.
